LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has picked an administrator from Augusta University in Georgia as its next vice chancellor of student affairs.

The university announced Monday the hiring of Mark Allen Poisel, who will start his new job in Little Rock on July 31. Poisel now serves as vice president for enrollment and student affairs at Augusta University.

Chancellor Andrew Rogerson says the university aims to increase its enrollment to 15,000 students in five years, and that Poisel will play a key role in that initiative. The university now has more than 11,000 students.

Poisel also previously worked at Pace University, the University of Central Florida and the Florida Division of Community Colleges.
