WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - A man’s body found in a North Carolina creek has been identified.
The Winston-Salem Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2qTjtHM ) Winston-Salem police on Tuesday identified the victim as 64-year-old Billy Bruce Joyner. His body was found in Peters Creek shortly before 3 p.m. Monday.
Police say Joyner hadn’t been seen by his family since the end of April. He was spotted May 8 in the same area where his body was later found, near Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
An autopsy is under way and the cause of death is unknown. Police say the death is not considered suspicious at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
