DES PLAINES, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in suburban Chicago say a teen accidentally shot in the face by his 10-year-old brother has died.

Des Plaines police say officers responded to a report of a possible gunshot wound on Saturday morning. The victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say the 15-year-old died two days later.

Police are investigating the shooting and spent hours collecting evidence inside the home on the day of the shooting.

No charges have been filed.

Authorities did not release further details.
