KENNEBEC, S.D. (AP) - A Vivian man accused of killing his 7-week-old daughter has pleaded not guilty to four felony charges including murder.
Thirty-six-year-old Gerald Brink is accused of hitting and throwing the infant, who died at a hospital May 4. An autopsy concluded the baby suffered four skull fractures and blunt force trauma to the head.
Brink entered his pleas Thursday, and a judge set his bond at $500,000 cash. Brink could face life in prison if convicted.
