PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) - Police say a 15-year-old girl who was on life support after a car crash in Peoria has died.

They say Alexa Flores died about 8:30 a.m. Thursday at a hospital.

Police say Flores and three of her Sandra Day O’Connor High School classmates were injured while on their way to school just before 7 a.m. Wednesday.

They say Flores was in the backseat on the driver’s side at the time of the crash.

Police say the passenger car the four girls were in collided with a pickup truck at an intersection.

Two 16-year-old girls and a 14-year-old girl also were taken to the hospital, but police say only one remained hospitalized Thursday.

The 42-year-old driver of the pickup truck wasn’t injured and police say he fully cooperated with the investigation.
