DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - An Iowa State Extension administrator has been named president of Scott Community College.
Lyn Cochran will be replacing Teresa Paper, who is retiring. Cochran will take over in August.
Cochran is Iowa State Extension assistant vice president for organizational development, a job she’s held since 2013. She also lectures at Drake University and Iowa State in qualitative research methodology. Among Cochran’s previous jobs was one as assistant dean for communications and industrial technology at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska.
Scott Community College’s enrollment last fall was more than 4,500 students. Locations include the main campus in Bettendorf.
