CLINTON, Miss. (AP) - Gov. Phil Bryant will address graduates of Mississippi College and receive an honorary degree from the Baptist institution.

Bryant earned a master’s degree from Mississippi College in 1988 and formerly taught political science there.

The Republican governor will speak to graduate students earning degrees Friday night in Clinton.

Saturday, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Executive Jeffery Holland will speak to two separate ceremonies for undergraduates at the school’s A.E. Wood Coliseum. Holland directs the Engineer Research and Development Center in Vicksburg and is a Mississippi College trustee.

Mississippi College’s nursing students will graduate separately on Friday afternoon. State Attorney General Jim Hood is scheduled to address law school graduates May 12 in Jackson.
