CADIZ, Ky. (AP) - Police are asking for assistance as they investigate the death of a woman whose remains were found last month in western Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police sent out a statement on Wednesday asking anyone who had contact with 33-year-old Christina D. Edmonson of Cadiz between March 13 and April 25 to contact Detective Brian Hill, who is investigating her death.

Police say they were called to a wooded area in Trigg County on April 25 by a property owner who reported finding a skull. That led to a larger search of the area and police found a body nearby.

The remains were identified as Edmonson. Her cause of death hasn’t been released.
