BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A 24-year-old Lame Deer woman has pleaded not guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter for a September drunken driving crash in Busby that killed two 14-year-old boys and badly injured a 12-year-old boy.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/2pdEusg ) Thyanna Faith Littlesun also pleaded not guilty to assault resulting in serious injury on Thursday during a hearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy Cavan. He ordered her to remain in custody pending her trial before U.S. District Judge Susan Watters.

Assistant U.S. Attorney John Sullivan said Littlesun was indicted on charges she was driving under the influence of alcohol on Sept. 10 when she hit another vehicle, killing two people. The indictment identified them by their initials. News reports and obituaries following the crash identified the victims as James Walker Lamewoman of Busby and Stephan Killsnight of Billings.
