MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. (AP) - Authorities say a Montgomery County soccer coach has been arrested after being accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a 7-year-old girl during soccer practice.

Montgomery County police said in a news release that 47-year-old Miguel Alfredo Flores of Gaithersburg was arrested Wednesday on charges of third-degree sex offense and sexual abuse. Authorities allege Flores had inappropriate sexual contact with the girl during the summer of 2015.

Police says the contact happened on multiple locations during soccer practices at the Centerway Park soccer field in Montgomery Village. Flores is head soccer coach for The Academia De Futbol Salvadorena.

Detectives say they believe there may be additional victims. It’s unclear if Flores has an attorney.
