DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) - Stark County authorities are investigating a case of animal neglect.

Sheriff’s deputies who responded to a call near Gladstone late last month found numerous horses in poor health and a handful of dead cows. Two of the horses needed to be euthanized. Two others were seized and are recovering.

KX News reports (https://bit.ly/2pdLoO7 ) that no charges have been filed in the case, but the investigation isn’t over. The owner of the animals has been ordered to work with a veterinarian on properly caring for the remaining animals.
