WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) - Fire officials say two people were injured in a fire that extensively damaged a home and left 10 people displaced.

Daily Press (https://bit.ly/2pSf4nI) reports the James City County Fire Department said in a news release that firefighters received reports of a house fire Saturday night.

Officials say the homeowner escaped through the front door, while his 15-year-old son used the second-story window to escape.

The juvenile was transported to the hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

The fire also damaged two other homes. The Red Cross is assisting two of the families, and another is staying with friends. Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the blaze.
