LAS VEGAS (AP) - Jury selection began Monday in Las Vegas for the trial of a suspended physician accused of drugging patients and videotaping himself having sex with them.

Binh Minh “Ben” Chung, 43, has been jailed for almost two years on $1 million bail since his arrest on multiple felony charges that could get him up to life in prison.

Prosecutors and police had said they identified 14 victims, but trial is set to involve allegations involving four patients, including a 16-year-old girl.

Several prospective jurors told Clark County District Court Judge Kathleen Delaney they remembered media reports about Chung’s arrest in June 2015. One woman said Chung had been her family doctor.

The judge and attorneys said they expect it will take several days to seat a jury and up to two weeks for trial.

Chung has pleaded not guilty to 14 charges including sexual assault, kidnapping, use of a minor in the production of pornography, administering a drug to aid commission of a felony and lewdness.

Court documents allege that he used the tranquilizer Ketamine or a similar drug to sedate victims, and prosecutors Alexander Chen and Lisa Luzaich are expected to show his videos to the jury.

Chung’s defense attorneys, Christopher Oram and Betsy Allen, have not said if their client plans to testify.

One alleged victim told police she became unconscious after getting a shot in her arm during a treatment for acne, and briefly awoke in an exam room with her pants off before passing out again.

Chung’s medical license was suspended following his arrest in June 2015.

Court records made public at that time showed that misdemeanor lewdness charges filed against Chung in 2006 were dismissed in 2009 after he agreed to 100 hours of community service and impulse control counseling. He had been accused of fondling a 15-year-old female patient who sought treatment for an eye infection.
