NEW YORK (AP) - A 69-year-old Staten Island woman has pleaded guilty in connection with the beating death of her husband.
Antoinetta Baldassarre on Monday pleaded guilty to manslaughter for killing her 80-year-old husband with a crowbar in their home in 2014. Authorities say she also set fire to a car in their garage.
Baldassarre’s lawyer told The Staten Island Advance (https://bit.ly/2pZARbe ) she suffered years of physical and mental abuse at the hands of her husband and “on that day she had had enough.”
She faces 15 years in prison when she is sentenced May 30.
