LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - A judge has rejected a defense bid to throw out statements to police by one of two men accused of conspiring to kill central Pennsylvania police officers during a shooting last summer.

LNP newspaper (https://bit.ly/2pgWPJW ) reports that Lancaster County judge’s ruling came Monday in a hearing on motions in the case of 18-year-old Trenton Nace.

Nace and 17-year-old Marquell Rentas face dozens of counts in the July 29 shooting in Columbia. Police said a dozen shots were fired out a window and at police vehicles as officers responded. No one was injured.

Nace’s attorney argued unsuccessfully that police inappropriately questioned her client and also wanted prosecutors barred from showing jurors a social media video allegedly showing Nace pointing a rifle out a window on the day of the shooting.
