GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - A Montana woman has been charged with her boyfriend’s stabbing death in Great Falls.

The Great Falls Tribune reports (gftrib.com/2phyYJY) 38-year-old Linda Roseann Christianson was charged Tuesday with deliberate homicide and tampering with evidence in the March 5 death of 41-year-old Steven Fletcher. His body was found on a couch at his residence.

Christianson initially reported Fletcher’s death as a suicide, but court records say investigators found evidence that the knife used to stab him was placed in his hand after he died.

Prosecutors say Christianson ran to a neighbor’s house to call 911 and that neighbor reported she said, “oh my God, I killed him,” then later said “he killed himself.”

Investigators say they learned Fletcher planned to end his relationship with Christianson. She did not enter a plea during her initial appearance.
