SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The Latest on a Utah teenager jailed after recording the death of a 16-year-old girl (all times local):

12:44 p.m.

Authorities say a Utah teenager is jailed after he allegedly recorded the death of a 16-year-old girl found hanged from a tree over the weekend.

Utah County sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon tells the Salt Lake Tribune (https://bit.ly/2pfU9fE ) that 18-year-old Tyerell Joe Przybycien approached deputies at the scene Saturday evening and said he had wanted to see what it was like to see someone die.

Cannon says the 16-year-old Spanish Fork girl didn’t return home Friday and was reported missing Saturday by her mother.

County prosecutors are reviewing the case to determine whether Przybycien should face murder, manslaughter or other charges.
