KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Police say a car has struck and killed a woman as she rushed to catch a bus in Kansas City.

KMBC-TV (https://bit.ly/2qmqKjS ) reports that the 39-year-old woman was not in a crosswalk when she was hit Tuesday morning. She had been rushing for a RideKC bus on a street between two apartment buildings.

Police say the driver of the car stayed at the scene.
