CAMDEN, Tenn. (AP) - A Tennessee sheriff says an unidentified man’s body found in a river has prompted a homicide investigation.

Benton County Sheriff Kenny Christopher tells The Jackson Sun the body was pulled from the Tennessee River near the Benton County and Humphreys County line Thursday afternoon. Christopher says fishermen had discovered the body on a trotline.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has joined the investigation. The body was sent to the medical examiner’s office in Nashville for an autopsy.
