CALAIS, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say an 18-year-old man is accused of stabbing a woman and trying to stab her 3-year-old child.
Police say Tyreke Morton, of Montpelier, was arrested on two counts of attempted homicide late Sunday.
Police say they responded to a home in Calais, Vermont. The woman suffered serious injury and was taken to a hospital, where she is in stable condition. The child wasn’t hurt.
Morton has been jailed on $300,000 bail He was scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
