Police: Juvenile in custody after Virginia officer is shot

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) - Police in Virginia say a juvenile male is in custody after a police officer was shot multiple times.

Portsmouth police said in a statement Monday that the officer was taken to a hospital. Her condition was not available.

The shooting occurred about 2:45 p.m. on Hickory Street.
