SALISBURY, N.C. (AP) - Police are looking for a suspect after a man was shot in his car at a North Carolina apartment complex.

Salisbury police say officers were called to an apartment complex shortly before midnight Monday after a person reported seeing an injured person being placed in a car.

Police say 20-year-old Isaiah Malik Gillespie of Kannapolis was taken to Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury by a private vehicle. He died at the hospital a short time later from a gunshot wound.

Officers said Gillespie and the suspect in the shooting knew each other and apparently were involved in a dispute over a woman.

Police are looking for Terry Eugene Watson Jr., who is charged with murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle and assaulting a female.
