ST. LOUIS (AP) - A woman is injured after her car was struck by a stolen Lexus that was being chased by St. Louis County police.

The crash happened Tuesday night in north St. Louis city following a chase that began in Jennings. The woman’s injuries are not life-threatening. The driver of the Lexus is jailed pending charges, but a passenger in the stolen car ran away.

Police say the Lexus was taken in a carjacking Monday. Police saw it Tuesday and the car took off, leading to the chase that ended about 10 minutes later in the city with the crash.

Police say the driver reached for a holster on his hip but the gun had fallen out. Two guns were recovered.
