CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - A 40-year-old Cedar Rapids man has been sentenced to more than 17 years in federal prison for distributing child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for southern Iowa says Scott Ristine recently received the sentence after pleading guilty in July to one count of distribution of child pornography. At the plea hearing, Ristine admitted that he knowingly distributed child pornography in 2015.

He had been convicted of receipt of child pornography in Iowa in 2002.

Ristine must also comply with all sex offender registration and public notification requirements.
