WEST WINDSOR, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a person has died after being struck by an Amtrak train in Mercer County.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Saturday near the Princeton Junction station in West Windsor. Details about the victim have not been disclosed, and authorities are trying to determine why the person was on the tracks.

None of the 52 passengers aboard the train or its crew members were injured in the accident. The train was traveling between New York City and Miami, Florida at the time.

Train service in the area was briefly disrupted while the accident was investigated.
