ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A former Pennsylvania high school music teacher accused of sending explicit messages to students has pleaded guilty.

Thirty-year-old David Borghesani, of Northampton, entered the plea Monday in a county court to a corruption of minors charge. According to court documents, a charge of unlawful contact with a minor has been withdrawn as part of a plea agreement.

Authorities say Whitehall police began an investigation in Oct. 2016 when Whitehall-Coplay School District administrators started receiving complaints about Borghesani. Police say they discovered Borghesani had sent explicit images to three female students via Snapchat. Investigators say Borghesani sent a video of himself masturbating to one of the girls.

Borghesani resigned from Whitehall High School in February.

Borghesani faces up to five years in prison. Sentencing has been scheduled for Nov. 30.
