NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire state Rep. Steve Negron has filed to run for the state’s 2nd Congressional District in the 2018 race.

New Hampshire Public Radio reports Negron completed candidate papers with the Federal Election Commission Friday. The Nashua Republican has not made a formal announcement yet.

Negron is a retired U.S. Air Force officer who runs a small business.

The race for the GOP nomination includes state representative Jack Flanagan, of Brookline, and Dr. Stewart Levenson, of Hopkinton. Levenson was one of the doctors behind a whistleblower complaint about care at New Hampshire’s only veterans’ hospital.

The Democratic incumbent, Annie Kuster, is in her third term.
