TONOPAH, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say several children were among the injured when an SUV with seven occupants crashed after going off eastbound Interstate 10 in the western Arizona desert.

The Department of Public Safety says the wreck occurred Tuesday morning 68 miles (110 kilometers) east of the Arizona-California line. The location is between Quartzsite and Tonopah.

Trooper Kameron Lee says a woman had minor injuries, two children had non-life threatening injuries and another child had more serious injuries.

Three medical helicopters transported victims from the site where the SUV was heavily damaged but upright.

No additional details were released.
