President Trump spoke Monday with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to accept the condolences following the mass shooting in Las Vegas, said the White House.

Mr. Trump also expressed solidarity with the people of Canada following a weekend attack in Edmonton, where a man drove a car into a policeman and then stabbed him.

“President Trump and Prime Minister Trudeau reiterated the close ties between the United States and Canada, commended the resilience of our communities, and offered to cooperate in the ongoing investigations,” the White House said in a statement.
