CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say two people are dead after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Chandler.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the accident occurred late Saturday night at Wild Horse Pass.

DPS officials say five vehicles were involved in the crash.

The names and ages of the two people killed haven’t been released yet and DPS officials didn’t immediately say if the victims were in the same vehicle.

Authorities say the crash closed the freeway in both directions for hours in the area of the accident.

The area was reopened around 4 a.m. Sunday.
