PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police were investigating two shootings that left one man dead and two wounded late Sunday.

In the first shooting, one man was killed and the second wounded about 10:30 p.m. in north Philadelphia. Police released few details about that incident, but say the wounded victim was in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.

In the second shooting, just before midnight, a man in his 40s was leaving a takeout restaurant when he was shot several times. Police say the man was able to get into a car and drive away before he was stopped by police and taken to a hospital. His condition hasn’t been released. That shooting happened in the city’s Strawberry Mansion section.
