LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania appeals court has denied a request for a new trial from a man convicted of luring a woman out of her room before she was fatally shot in 2011.

The Pennsylvania Superior Court has ruled that many of 28-year-old Jakwan Green’s arguments were too late and without merit.

Green is serving a life sentence after being convicted of first-degree murder in the death of Diana Spencer in Lancaster. Prosecutors say Green helped plot the shooting, then knocked on Spencer’s front door, drawing her out of her bedroom before she was shot through the door multiple times.

Another man was convicted of firing the deadly shots, and a third is serving time for providing the gun and getaway vehicle.
