ASHLAND, Wis. (AP) - A police shooting in Ashland is under review by state investigators.

The mayor’s office says two police officers responded to a call Monday about 7:30 p.m. and shots were fired a short time later. The individual who was hit was taken to the Ashland hospital and then airlifted to a Duluth hospital. There’s no immediate word on the condition of the person who was shot.

No officers were injured.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation at the request of the Ashland police.
