JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Police say a man who escaped Harrisburg police has been recaptured in Jonesboro.

Jonesboro police say Jonathan Ware was found Wednesday morning hiding in a trash barrel on the city’s south side.

Police say Ware was arrested in connection with a domestic dispute in Harrisburg and was taken to a Jonesboro hospital for treatment of injuries suffered during the incident.

While being returned to Harrisburg on Tuesday, Ware was able to move his handcuffed hands from behind his back to the front of his body, then broke the window of the police car and escaped.

Police say Ware was still handcuffed when he was found and was turned over to Harrisburg police.
