DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a suspect has been arrested in the stabbing death of a 42-year-old man in Des Moines.

Officers and medics dispatched after a 911 call a little before 6 p.m. Wednesday found a man who was suffering from a stab wound to his upper body. Police say he died later at a hospital. He’s been identified as 42-year-old Jerry Martin, who lived in Des Moines.

Police say they’ve charged 39-year-old Michael Lee Bell Jr. with murder. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
