ST. JOHN, N.D. (AP) - Authorities have identified the teen who was killed when an SUV struck a stalled all-terrain vehicle in northern North Dakota.

The Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 8 p.m. Saturday on a Rolette County road near St. John.

Authorities say a Honda ATV had mechanical problems and was stalled on the edge of the road. The driver of a Polaris ATV had hooked up his winch to tow the vehicle when a Cadillac Escalade struck the group as they were preparing to leave.

Eighteen-year-old Taitum Eller from St. John was killed. She was a passenger on the Honda ATV. The driver of that ATV suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the other ATV driver was not hurt. The SUV driver also was not injuried.
