LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Authorities say the body of a 1-year-old boy who went missing after two boats collided on a Lubbock-area lake has been recovered.

Officials said the child’s body was found Tuesday morning. Multiple agencies had searched for the child after the collision Sunday evening on Buffalo Springs Lake. Teams had searched by air and water.

Texas Game Warden Captain Aryn Corley said nine people injured in the collision.

Corley said that at this time, they don’t believe alcohol played a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.

It was unclear if the child was wearing a life jacket at the time of the crash.
