BROOKLINE, Vt. (AP) - Police say a shoeless man walked into a Vermont woman’s house while she was home and left carrying a grocery bag filled with items from her home.
The victim says the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at her Brookline home. The Rutland Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2y0KMB9 ) the unidentified man was told to leave by the woman, who also called police.
He listened and did leave - taking a full grocery bag with him. Police say the man was described as a white male, roughly 6 feet tall with brown hair. He was wearing a shirt and pants, but wasn’t wearing shoes.
State police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
