Tammy Bruce’s recent piece, “Why Democrats fear voter fraud investigations” (Web, Sept. 13), illuminates the real motive behind Democratic resistance to investigations into voter fraud. Vowing to do this or that ad nauseam, Democrats now have the Presidential Advisory Commission in their crosshairs. Knowing full well that voter fraud exists and that it demonstrably benefits vote tabulations for Democratic candidates essentially makes the party leadership accessories to fraud.

It’s just one more nefarious activity to be added to the playbook of the party of Tammany Hall, voter intimidation, electoral machinations and nudge-nudge-wink-wink deal making. Democrats’ determined opposition to a secure, controlled border with Mexico is also explained by their apparent belief that anyone who can get through the border should be entitled to vote.

In these times, one would think that a secure border would be axiomatic. But if you are of the liberal persuasion, a secure border just seems to make you angry. The wall appears to be progressing, however, so enough with the howling and whining. To paraphrase Shakespeare, they doth protest too much, methinks.
