BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A Louisiana man who is accused of shooting another man over a debt from a previous drug deal has been arrested.

News outlets report 18-year-old Javon Aron is accused of shooting a man several times, striking him twice in the foot on Monday.

The victim told Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office investigators that he was visiting a home when Aron brandished a gun, approached him and threatened to kill him over a $250-$400 debt from a prior drug transaction.

As the man tried to flee, Aron allegedly shot him several times. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
