RENO, Nev. (AP) - Authorities in Reno say a woman was wounded and her estranged husband is facing attempted murder and other charges after a shooting at a midtown-area home.

Police say the woman was taken to Renown Medical Center in stable condition after officers and paramedics arrived about 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the residence on Claremont Street. Her name wasn’t made public.

Police say 44-year-old Jeremy Paul Sherburne was arrested and taken to the Washoe County jail pending an initial court appearance on charges also including domestic battery, assault with a weapon, mayhem and shooting inside an occupied structure.

Records showed that Sherburne was being held on $100,000 bail. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
