HARTSVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Two people have been arrested in the death of a man whose body was found in a burned home in South Carolina.

Darlington County Sheriff’s investigators say 22-year-old Ky’Ron Earl Jamal Peterson and a 17-year-old Hartsville teen have been arrested in the death.

The body of Dominic Alton Midgett was found Sept. 5 in a burned home in Hartsville. Investigators say Peterson and the male teen shot Midgett and tried to cover up the murder by putting his body in a mobile home and setting it on fire.

The suspects are also charged with arson.

Lt. Robby Kilgo said Peterson was arrested in Columbia on Saturday. It was not known if he has an attorney.

The teen was arrested Sept. 19 and is being held in the Darlington County jail.
