ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - Divers have found the body of a man missing in a South Carolina lake since July.

Local media outlets reported a dive team found the body of 52-year-old Kip Burrell of Anderson in Lake Hartwell on Wednesday afternoon.

Burrell and his wife Stacey Burrell were thrown from their boat into the lake during a July 15 storm. Stacey Burrell was rescued by a passing boater.

Authorities began searching for Kip Burrell later that day.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and more than two dozen other agencies searched for 10 days.

A dive team from Wisconsin cane to Lake Murray earlier this week and found the body in more than 100 feet of water using high-tech sonar equipment and a remotely-operated submersible vehicle not previously available to the sheriff’s office.
