PHOENIX (AP) - An ex-convict who pleaded guilty in the cold-case killing of a Phoenix woman during a 1982 burglary has been sentenced to 21 years in prison.
Judge Erin Otis of Maricopa County Superior Court on Thursday sentenced 57-year-old Larry Lee Robinson in the killing of 83-year-old Sally Bryant.
Robinson was arrested in May 2016 on suspicion of first-degree murder and burglary after his DNA matched a profile from a blood stain found in Bryant’s home where a television and money were missing.
Police also said there was a fingerprint match.
Robinson initially denied involved but he pleaded guilty last month to second-degree murder.
Arizona Department of Corrections records list multiple prison sentences for Robinson on convictions in the 1980s for burglary, theft and armed robbery.
