LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Lawrence police say the shooting death of a 1-year-old girl was an accident.
Police were called to a home in northern Lawrence Friday morning where the child had been shot. Efforts to save her were unsuccessful.
Police said in a news release that the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office will review the incident once the investigation is complete.
