TEMPLE, Texas (AP) - Officials say nobody has been hurt after one BNSF Railway train hit another that was stopped on the same tracks in rural Central Texas.

A spokesman with Fort Worth-based BNSF says one car of an intermodal freight train derailed when the train collided with the rear of a grain train about 11:30 a.m. Friday near Heidenheimer, about 6 miles (9.7 kilometers) southeast of Temple and 60 miles (96 kilometers) northeast of Austin. Joe Faust says the intermodal train was traveling about 14 mph (22.5 kmh) when it struck the rear of the grain train. He said why the trains collided is still unknown and under investigation.

Faust says no hazardous materials spilled.
