FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Police in North Carolina say one person is dead and another one hospitalized after a shooting at a mobile home park.
The Fayetteville Observer reports Fayetteville police spokeswoman Officer Asia Cannon police said the shooting occurred Monday in the Lafayette Park mobile home park off Raeford Road.
Cannon said several people called 911 and reported hearing multiple gunshots, and officers responding to the calls found the victims.
Neither victim has been identified pending notification of family members. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the second person was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where officials said they were listed in critical condition.
