TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A fire broke out at the Arizona Correctional Officer Training Academy in Tucson.

Northwest Fire District Capt. Brian Keeley says crews were dispatched shortly after 9:30 p.m. Monday when a staff member of the training academy called 911 to report a blaze.

Keeley says the staff member reported smoke coming from the roof and fire coming from under a door of the maintenance building, which also houses a wood shop.

Crews battled the fire and brought it under control shortly before 10 p.m.

Keeley says there were more than 100 corrections officer recruits at the academy for training at the time of the fire, but none of them were injured or impacted.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire. No damage estimate was released.
