BRIDGEVILLE, Del. (AP) - State police are asking for the public’s help in locating the accomplice of a man who was fatally shot during an apparent home invasion in southern Delaware.
Investigators say 20-year-old Larry T. Hobbs of Laurel was fatally shot late Sunday night at a home in Bridgeville after police responded to a 911 call.
Police say a second suspect, wearing dark clothing and a mask over his face, fled the scene.
Investigators say a man was alone inside the house when Hobbs and the other suspect broke in. A struggle ensued, and a single round was fired from a handgun that one of the suspects had, striking Hobbs in the upper torso.
Hobbs was pronounced dead at the scene.
