South Carolina father kills 13-year-old son, then kills self

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a father shot and killed his son in their South Carolina home before shooting himself.

Police said a family member found the two dead in their Greenville home Monday.

Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans said an autopsy found 13-year-old Ahbteeb Oveissi was shot in the head Monday morning by his father, 49-year-old Jahan Oveissi.

Evans said in a statement that Jahan Oveissi then shot himself in the head.

Police have not given a motive for the deaths.
